MotorLog ("we", "our", or "us") is developed and maintained by Edoardo Troianiello, Andrea Masturzo, Emanuele Cimmelli, Raffaele Siciliano, and Francesco De Simone. This Privacy Policy describes how MotorLog collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.
By using MotorLog, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of data:
- Usage Data: Through Firebase Analytics, we collect anonymized information such as app usage patterns, session duration, feature interactions, and device details (e.g., model, OS version).
- Crash Logs: We use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose and improve app stability. This may include crash reports and device diagnostics, but no personally identifiable information is collected.
- App Data (via iCloud): Users can input information about their vehicles, such as photos, notes, and other data. This data is stored exclusively in the user’s private iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit. We do not have access to any of this content.
2. How We Use the Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To understand how users interact with the app.
- To monitor and improve app performance and stability.
- To support future development by identifying usage trends and issues.
We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps or services.
3. Data Storage and User Privacy
All personal data entered in the app, such as vehicle details or photos, is stored locally and synchronized to your private iCloud database using Apple’s CloudKit. We cannot access this data and do not store it on our servers.
You may manage or delete this data at any time directly via your iCloud account.
4. In-App Purchases
MotorLog offers optional in-app purchases managed entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or process any purchase or payment information directly. All transactions are handled securely through your Apple ID account. For more information, please refer to:

We rely on the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Used to collect anonymized usage data.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): Used to collect crash reports to improve app reliability.

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Usage data is shared only with trusted third-party services (like Firebase) under strict data protection terms.
7. Data Deletion and User Control
Since we do not store personal data on our own servers, and all private user data is hosted within your iCloud account, you retain full control. You can delete data by removing it from the app or managing your iCloud storage.
Please note: Firebase Analytics data is anonymized and not associated with identifiable users. Therefore, we are unable to fulfill specific user deletion requests for Firebase data.
8. Children’s Privacy
MotorLog is intended for general audiences. It is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone in that age group.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be communicated through an updated version on our website or app store page.

Gli utenti possono gestire ed eliminare i dati direttamente tramite l'app o iCloud. I dati di Firebase sono anonimi e non possono essere cancellati individualmente.
8. Privacy dei minori
MotorLog non è destinata a bambini sotto i 13 anni e non raccoglie consapevolmente dati da minori.
9. Modifiche alla Policy
Questa policy può essere aggiornata. Le modifiche verranno notificate tramite app o online.
